Zeke grew up exploring the fields and forests of Nebraska. His love for the outdoors led him to earn a BA in Biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University. After college he worked as a graduate assistant in the Forestry, Fisheries, and Wildlife Department at the University of Nebraska. Zeke worked closely with the Nebraska Game & Parks during this time.

During his assistantship Zeke volunteered part-time at his local church. What began as leading Bible studies and teaching Sunday school ignited into a passion for ministry. Four years later, Zeke and his wife, Jamie went to seminary at Talbot School of Theology where he earned a Masters of Divinity (MDiv).

Zeke recently completed his doctoral studies in communication (DMin) from Gordon-Conwell.

Zeke and Jamie live in Central City, Nebraska, where he serves as the lead pastor of Heartland Evangelical Free Church.

Zeke is a freelance outdoor writer, photographer and event speaker. His articles and photos have been published by Deer & Deer Hunting, Bowhunter, Petersen’s Bowhunting, and Bowhunting World magazines.

Zeke is currently Pro Staff with Gold Tip, Bowtech, Doinker, and Lakewood Products.
